On Sunday 19 June 2022 at 5.30 p.m. the Abbey of Morimondo will host the concert “T’AMO MIA VITA” organised by the Liederìadi Association and its Intende Voci Chorus, which, after the interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, returns to the Cistercian Abbey for the third year with a concert programme that this time ranges from the compositions of three great names of the Baroque period (17th and 18th centuries): Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel and Claudio Monteverdi.
The programme includes arias and duets for solo voices, 5-voice madrigals and chorales, a cappella and accompanied by an ensemble of baroque instruments: viola da gamba, theorbo and harpsichord.
The initiative, curated by artistic director Mirko Guadagnini, involves around 40 artists who will make the beautiful walls of the Cistercian Abbey resound.
The concert, realised thanks to the contribution of the Fondazione Ticino Olona and sponsored by the Municipality of Morimondo, marks a return of great classical music to the splendid Abbey, the fulcrum of cultural life not only in the town of Morimondo but also in the neighbouring municipalities.
