I Madrigalisti di intende Voci and the seventh book of Madrigali di monteverdi

The concert tour of I Madrigalisti di Intende Voci, the ensemble that, under the guidance of Mirko Guadagnini, has been meeting for six years during the year to study and explore Monteverdi’s madrigal repertoire in depth, with the ambition of performing all of Claudio Monteverdi’s Nine Books of Collections, kicked off.

On 19 May 2024 at 6 p.m., the first concert took place as part of Auditorium in Musica, the event that Associazione Liederìadi has been organising for six years in collaboration with Municipio 3 of the Municipality of Milan at the Auditorium Stefano Cerri.

It was an immersion in Baroque music with the performance of a selection of madrigals taken from the First Seven Books of Collections by Claudio Monteverdi and composed in the early 1600s. The writing of these masterpieces saw alternating quintets of voices with and without basso continuo, i.e. the instruments that accompany the melody of the song (in this case a harpsichord, viola da gamba and theorbo), duets and trios for male or female voices up to the great madrigals for five voices performed by the entire choral group.

The second appointment was on 25 May at the Bernate Ticino Rectory and the third on 26 May in Alessandria in collaboration with the Conservatory for the Scatola Sonora concert season.
Concerts also follow in Lodi (8 September) for the Cerretum Cantus review and in Genoa (27 October) for the Festival Le Vie del barocco
