Intende Voci Chorus opens the XIV edition of Festival Liederìadi on december, the 1st 2019 with “A BRITISH CHRISTMAS”, a programme featuring some of the finest works by renowned English composer BENJAMIN BRITTEN (Lowestoft, 1913 – Aldeburgh, 1976).
It includes lullabies, Christmas carols and the less known “CANTICLE II – Abraham and Isaac op. 51 ” for countertenor, tenor and piano, the atmosferic “A Hymn to the Virgin” for double mixed chorus a cappella, a selection from “A charm of lullabies” for mezzosoprano and piano, and the familiar favourite “A Ceremony of Carols op.28” for mixed chorus, solo voices and harp.
